Part I of my tutorial for making Sailor Scout skirts. I've had a lot of people ask me how I make my skirts for my costumes so I decided to attempt to put together a tutorial.

I'm not on par with sewing terminology and I definitely don't claim this is the absolute right way to make a skirt for Sailor Moon cosplays, but this is what worked for me.

When you say 'straight stitch the pleats' what do you mean?
stitch them as in downwards ( top to bottom ) or along the top of the skirt?

Along the top of the skirt, didn't realize I needed to specify that. and yes the leotard is separate from the skirt.

What if we wanted 2 inch pleats? would we measure out only 2x the width?
